If you have a new puppy The Puppy Nanny can help. We work with puppies from 8 weeks to 24 months of age.
With over 25 years of experience and continuing education, Sue has worked with thousands of dogs of different breeds and temperaments. She has developed programs that are particularly geared toward puppies.
As a new puppy owner, you will face common but still challenging behaviors. Sue can help you through the puppy and adolescent phases by giving you tried and true advice to make your life easier and help your puppy become a confident and well-behaved dog.
We can help through Live Online lessons, private One on One training, and our small Group classes.

NEW PUPPY PROGRAM
This program can be started with any puppy between 8 weeks and 12 months of age.
Includes 2 Online and 3 Private lessons
2 Online lessons – These 1-hour lessons are on the Zoom platform. The interactive lessons are a great way to answer your questions about your new family member, either before you bring your puppy home, or in the first few weeks before they are old enough to bring them to the studio. Ask all those questions about house training, crate training, puppy biting, chew training, and anything else that you are concerned with. You will get one-on-one time to address your concerns and we can take as much time as you need to do so.
3 Private In-Person lessons at The Puppy Nanny – We will begin teaching your puppy important skills in these in-person lessons. We will help you teach relaxation, and we will begin teaching basic obedience behaviors like come, attention, and leash walking.
The New Puppy Program is tailored to your specific needs and lifestyle. No cookie-cutter training here. While there are things that I feel are important for all puppies to learn, in this program your experience will be unique to you and your puppy.

Good Puppy Program
The Good Puppy Program gives you the best of both Private training lessons and our small Group class
This program can be started with any puppy between 12 weeks and 12 months of age.
You will start with 2 Private lessons at The Puppy Nanny to learn the basic training exercises and answer any questions you have about raising your puppy.
Then you will complete 6 Group classes to take those skills to the next level while working with the distractions of new people and other puppies.
What is included in this program –

- The online book Meet Your New Puppy. This 50+-page book will help you navigate puppyhood from housetraining to puppy biting, crate training, socialization, and more.

Covid made us all more aware that we can do a lot of learning in a virtual environment. Dog training has taken the leap with many trainers offering online lessons.
An online lesson can be very much like an in-home session. I can see how your house is set up which is great for putting together a management and house-training schedule for puppies.
I can see how you and your family interact with your puppy in your home environment. Family members can participate and ask questions.
And I can demonstrate exercises and give feedback in real time.
After your lesson, you will get email handouts and links to videos of many exercises.
