About your puppy Trainer

  I have been training animals for over 45 years. In the ‘50’s my parents imported Standard Poodles from Germany. My mother showed them in conformatio,n and my father took them duck hunting!    

As a horse trainer for over 20 years, I found the teachings of the ‘Horse Whisperers’ Monty Roberts and John Lyons who trained without force. My goal was to train animals using kindness and not force. I learned to develop relationship based training methods. 

For almost 30 years, I worked with horses using a gentle approach. My husband and I managed Thoroughbred 

horse farms Ohio, MD, and PA 

using gentle techniques to handle

 and train race horses. 

When career changes brought me back to the dog world, I made it my mission to teach dogs without force by helping owners to develop leadership and a better relationship with their dog. 

Since that time, I have attended 

over 50 seminars and conferences

 on all aspects of dog training and behavior.   I have had the privilege 

to learn from some of the best trainers and behaviorists in the world.

 I believe that no matter how much

 one knows about dogs and training,         there is always more to learn.

My Beagle Loretta and I compete

successfully in Nose Work , Rally Obedience, and Agility events throughout the South.

I am one of three  Certified Control Unleashed Instructors in the state of South Carolina.
