Sandy Farrey - Greenville SC
All Private Training lessons are with Sue Conklin.
I use proven, positive methods to teach relaxation and obedience.
Much of the training is based on « Training Between the Ears »
(TBTE) training and principles. TBTE was developed by Mark McCabe. TBTE uses primarily reward and relaxation strategies to change the emotional state of dogs and help them moderate their own emotions.
The techniques aim to build relationships with your dog by removing conflict, develop your dog’s self-motivation through success seeking behaviors, and changing your dog’s perception of the surrounding world
so they are emotionally more relaxed and stable .
If you have a new puppy or an adult dog, The Puppy Nanny can help.
With over 22 years of experience and continuing education, Sue has worked with all breeds and temperaments. She has developed programs that are particularly geared to puppies and fearful dogs.
PUPPIES; As a new puppy owner you will face behaviors that are common, but still challenging. Sue can help you through the puppy and adolescent phases by giving you tried and true advice to make your life easier and help your puppy become a confident and well behaved dog. See the New Puppy programs below.
FEARFUL DOGS; Dogs who are shy or fearful can be difficult to live with. They may be afraid of some people or they may be afraid to go for walks. Working with these dogs can be very rewarding, but they can take time, patience and most of all a gentle approach. Sue's methods will help your fearful dog become more confident.

You will receive 2 private lessons at The Puppy Nanny's Plac to get your training started and address any specific issues. You will receive an email version of all relevant handouts. You will also attend 6 group classes to hone your dog’s skills with the distractions of other dogs and new people. (2nd Dog $150)
Covid has made us all more aware that we can do a lot of learning in a safe virtual environment. Dog training has taken the leap with many trainers offering online lessons.
An online lesson can be very much like an in-home session. I can see how your house is set up which is great for putting together a management and house-training schedule for puppies.
I can see how you and your family interact with your dog in your home environment. And all family members can participate and ask questions.
And I can demonstrate exercises and give feedback in real time.
After your lesson, you will get email handouts and links to videos of many exercises.
Single lesson 45 - 60 min. $75
3 lessons - $215
